TELANGANA REUTERS, Hyderabad, 9th August, 2026: A grand felicitation ceremony was organized under the aegis of the SC-ST Officers Forum and the leadership of former Chief Secretary Sri Kaki Madhava Rao to honor Professor Gaddam Mallesham upon his assumption of office as the Registrar of Veeranari Chakali Ailamma Women’s University.
The event, held at Ambedkar Bhavan in Lower Tank Bund, Hyderabad, was attended by numerous IAS and IPS officers, Group-1 officers, educationists, professors, doctors, lawyers, student union leaders, researchers, and students, all of whom extended their congratulations to Professor Gaddam Mallesham.
Notable attendees included ESI Director Dr. Gautam, Dr. Siddhoj, Dr. Prakash, Osmania University College of Engineering Vice-Principal Professor Mangu, former Heads of Department Professor Vidyasagar and Professor Ramana Rao, Professors Dr. Chandrasekhar and Dr. Suguri Babu, Advocate Lakshman, Engineering Scholar Krishna Rathod, as well as various student union leaders, scholars, and students. Several speakers lauded Professor Gaddam Mallesham as an educationist with extensive experience, an able administrator, and a socially conscious figure. They expressed confidence that his leadership would be pivotal in shaping the Veeranari Chakali Ailamma Women’s University into a model institution for education, equality, and women’s empowerment. Many also wished him success in assuming significant leadership roles in the future.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Gaddam Mallesham stated that the university would move forward by prioritizing higher education, research, skill development, and social empowerment for women.
He affirmed his commitment to steering the university further along the path of development, guided by the vision: “Empowerment through education—a strong foundation for societal progress.”
