State Level Bankers’ Committee (SLBC), Telangana has convened its 50th Quarterly Review Meeting for the quarter ended June 2026 to review the performance of Banks, today i.e., on 19.08.2026, at Praja Bhavan, Hyderabad

Telangana Reuters, 19th August, 2026 : Speaking on the occasion, Sri Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu, Honble Deputy Chief Minister called banks to align with the States Telangana Rising 2047 vision of achieving a $1 trillion economy by 2034 and $3 trillion by 2047, stressing that financial performance must be judged by outcomes such as rural income growth, womens entrepreneurship and job creation along with target fulfilment.

He reviewed progress in agriculture (₹52,337 crore, 28.91% of target) and MSME lending (₹91,374 crore, 39.64% of target), flagged high agricultural NPAs, and urged timely, proactive credit to farmers and MSMEs, reactivation of inactive Business Correspondents, and a shift from welfare to enterprise finance for Self-Help Group. Further, he said Telangana is emerging as a prime destination for global and domestic corporate investment with major infrastructure projects such as the Musi riverfront, Future City, Regional Ring Road and Metro expansion. He appealed to emphasize the importance of achieving set objectives of Telangana Rising 2047.
