Telangana Reuters, Hyderabad, August 24, 2026: The third day of Power Exhibition-2026, organized by TGSPDCL at People’s Plaza on Necklace Road, Hyderabad, was marked by enthusiastic visits from students representing engineering, polytechnic, and ITI colleges, as well as schools. Students from over 35 educational institutions participated in the event. Students from numerous engineering colleges participated in large numbers today, including St. Ann’s Engineering College (Abids), Methodist College (Abids), St. Peter’s Engineering College (Maisammaguda), MVSR Engineering College (Nadergul), MJIT College (Gandipet), Siddhartha Engineering College (Ibrahimpatnam), Mahavir Engineering College, Matrusri Engineering College (Saidabad), Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and Technology (GRIET), Vasavi Engineering College, St. Martin’s Engineering College (Kompally), Institute of Aeronautical Engineering (Dundigal), CMR College, VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology, BVRIT (Narsapur), MJCET, CBIT, CVR Engineering College, and Siddhartha Institute of Engineering and Technology (Narapalli).
Similarly, students from JNGP Polytechnic (Ramanthapur), Government ITI Malyangal, Government ITI Musheerabad, Falaknuma Junior College, Nizam College, and the Durgabai Deshmukh institutions also visited the exhibition. Students from various educational institutions—including Grammar School (Abids), Silver Oaks International School (Chevella), Ikigai School, Ideal International School, Ideal Public School, and government schools—participated and showed keen interest in the modern technologies of the power sector.
The students were particularly captivated by the exhibits, which included a gallery on the history of electricity, models of power generation, transmission, and distribution systems, smart grid technologies, safety equipment, renewable energy sources, energy-saving methods, and models of transformers and substations. They sought clarifications from officials regarding various aspects of the power sector and gained a better understanding of how the electrical system operates.
Officials briefed the students on employment opportunities in the power sector, technological advancements, the modernization of power distribution systems, and the measures being taken to meet future electricity demands.
Visitors remarked that the ‘Power Exhibition-2026’ provided a valuable opportunity to create comprehensive awareness about the power sector among students while fostering a greater interest in technical education.
