Save Earth Foundation Receives MOTHER INDIA National Award

Dr. T. Surender Receives the Award from Hon’ble Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy

Telangana Reuters, Hyderabad, 24th August, 2026 :  Save Earth Foundation, which has been making significant contributions in the fields of water conservation, environmental protection, and conservation of natural resources, has been honored with the prestigious Mother India Award 2026 by Swadeshi Sansthan India, Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, as part of the celebrations marking India’s 80th Independence Day.

The national awards were presented at Sagar Kala Bhavan, Ayodhya. Save Earth Foundation from Telangana was selected for the Mother India Award 2026 in recognition of its dedicated service to society and the environment.

Due to unavoidable circumstances, the foundation’s founder, Dr. T. Surender, could not travel to Ayodhya. He subsequently received the Mother India Award from the Hon’ble Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy. On the occasion, the Union Minister felicitated Dr. T. Surender with a shawl and presented him with the award memento and certificate.

Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy said that the services rendered by volunteers working for the betterment of society are invaluable and highly commendable.

Dr. T. Surender, founder of Save Earth Foundation, has dedicated himself to voluntary service as a life mission. With the goal of creating a garland of one crore trees for Mother Earth, he has contributed to the planting of more than five lakh saplings and the construction of over 3,000 rainwater harvesting/recharge pits.

The foundation has also been actively involved in religious and spiritual service activities and has distributed more than 25,000 copies of the Bhagavad Gita. Bhagavad Gita memorization competitions have been conducted at the school, mandal, and district levels in hundreds of schools.

To promote personality development among students and youth, awareness programmes have been organized with experts. The foundation has also conducted drawing, elocution, and essay-writing competitions, encouraging young talent and recognizing their achievements.

For underprivileged students, educational opportunities have been provided through distance-learning programmes. During winter, blankets have been distributed to homeless and underprivileged people sleeping on roads. During summer, arrangements have been made to provide water and food for birds and animals.

Save Earth Foundation has also organized blood donation camps for children suffering from thalassemia and conducted continuous awareness programmes on Swachh Bharat, Swachh Survekshan, road safety, plastic control, cleaning of lakes and temples, COVID-19, floods, seasonal diseases, plastic pollution, and drug addiction.

Recognizing these extensive and selfless services, Swadeshi Sansthan India honored the organization with the Swadeshi Bhushan and Mother India Award. Union Minister Gangapuram Kishan Reddy stated that such recognition is a matter of pride for Telangana and that the organization’s selfless service is inspirational and exemplary.

Dr. T. Surender has previously received several international and national recognitions, including Vishwa Guru World Records, Corona Warrior, Indian Icon, Paryavarana Mitra, Sevaratna, Vanamali, and Nelson Mandela Excellence Award, among others. These honors are a testament to his continued commitment to social and environmental service.

A large number of well-wishers, Save Earth Foundation representatives, friends, and volunteers participated in the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. T. Surender said that the recognition was made possible because of the guidance and support of the organization’s representatives and the dedicated volunteers who work with him at the grassroots level.

He expressed his pride in receiving national-level recognition and said that the award has placed an even greater responsibility on the foundation to continue its service activities. He conveyed his heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Hon’ble Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy for presenting the award in recognition of their services.

Government teachers Mahipal Reddy, Goshika Vithaleshwar, Vijay Kumar, Dr. Yadagiri, G. Rajender Reddy, Neelam Suresh, Jayasurya, Ramachandra Vardhan, Srilatha Rani, and members of the Daivam Team, including Harikrishna and Yagna, along with others, participated in the programme.
