Telangana Reuters, Hyderabad, September 3, 2026: Agarwal Samaj Telangana organised a special service programme today under its flagship initiative ‘Project Annapurna’, aimed at providing regular support to economically weaker and needy families. As part of the initiative, monthly ration kits containing essential food grains and household-use items were distributed to 200 needy families at Agarwal Samaj Bhavan, Raghava Ratna Towers, Abids, Hyderabad.
The programme was attended by Shri Pramod Kumar Kedia, President, Agarwal Shiksha Samiti, as the Chief Guest. Appreciating the initiative, he said that providing regular monthly assistance rather than one-time support gives greater continuity and dignity to social service efforts. He encouraged members of the community to come forward and contribute to initiatives that directly benefit families in need.
The Project Annapurna initiative has been supported by several members of the Agarwal community, including Shri Gopal Agarwal of Shri Balaji Jewellers & Exports, Smt. Vidya Goyal of Deepak Steels, Smt. Sita Agarwal, Smt. Vanshika Gupta of Mangat Rai Pearls & Jewels, Shri Madhusudan Goyal, Shri Shiv Kumar Dalmia and Smt. Shobha Gupta.
Senior office-bearers of Agarwal Samaj Telangana, including President Shri Anirudh Gupta, Working President Shri Narendra Kumar Goyal, Vice-President Shri M. Hemchand Prasad Agarwal, Honorary Secretary Dr. Seema Jain, Joint Secretary Shri Pratik Kumar Narsaria, Treasurer Shri Rajagopal Agarwal and Project Chairman Shri Suresh Kumar Agarwal, were actively involved in the programme and its execution.
Project Annapurna is envisioned as a sustained community-support initiative, through which selected needy families will receive assistance towards their monthly essential requirements. The initiative seeks to ensure that support reaches families consistently and with dignity, while also encouraging greater participation from the community.
Agarwal Samaj Telangana stated that the project will be continued and expanded to reach more deserving families, with the support of community members and well-wishers.
