TELANGANA REUTERS, HYDERABAD, INDIA | SEPTEMBER 5, 2026 — Villa Marie Degree College for Women hosted its grand Alumni Meet, FRATERNIZE 2026, on September 5, bringing together former students from various batches for a memorable celebration of friendship, gratitude and lifelong connections.
The Founder, Director and Correspondent, Dr. Philomena’s vision of nurturing young minds and witnessing them grow into confident, responsible women finds a meaningful expression in FRATERNIZE 2026. The Alumni Meet is a response to that vision, bringing former students back to the campus so that the institution can celebrate their growth, achievements and journeys, while reaffirming the lifelong bond between Villa Marie and its alumni.
The programme was inaugurated by Ms. Chinnamma, Secretary, Villa Marie Educational Society and she was joined by Mr. Srinivas Rao, Joint Secretary; Mrs. Revati Devi Mathur, Principal; and Dr. K. Naveen Kumar, Convener of the Alumni Association and IQAC Coordinator in lighting the legacy.
The event commenced with the Inaugural Address by Mrs. Revati Devi Mathur, Principal, followed by an address by Ms. Chinnamma, Secretary. In her address, the Secretary emphasised the importance of sustaining a strong bond between the institution and its alumni, highlighting the role of former students in carrying forward the values and legacy of Villa Marie.
A special segment titled “Giveback to Villa Marie” underscored the spirit of gratitude and contribution that continues to define the alumni community. This was followed by the Alumni Association Report and Future Initiatives, presented by Dr. K. Naveen Kumar, who outlined the association’s progress and its vision for strengthening alumni engagement and collaboration.
The nostalgic spirit of the gathering was further enhanced by the screening of “Villa Marie – Then, Now and Ever”, accompanied by a special song, which celebrated the institution’s journey and its enduring connection with generations of students.
The Alumni Interaction and Sharing of Experiences segment, themed “Where Are They Now?”, offered former students a platform to share their journeys, achievements and experiences since graduating from Villa Marie. The session reflected the diverse paths taken by alumni and the lasting impact of their education and campus memories. Adding to the celebrations, “Villa Marie Got Talent – Alumni Edition” showcased the creativity and talents of former students, creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and camaraderie.
The grand homecoming celebrated not only cherished memories but also the enduring relationship between Villa Marie and its alumni. FRATERNIZE 2026 reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to nurturing a vibrant alumni network and building meaningful connections that extend well beyond the years spent on campus. The homecoming event provided alumni an opportunity to reconnect with their alma mater, meet old friends, share experiences and strengthen their professional and personal networks.
