“Previously, the award was presented only in the fields of literature and arts.”
“Acting on the suggestion of Agriculture Minister Mr. Tummala Nageswara Rao, it was decided that an award named after farmer Mr. Ponnam Sattaiah would be appropriate.
Starting this year, an award for the agricultural sector is also being introduced.
For the past four years, we have been honoring prominent individuals who have rendered services in fields such as education, social work, and the arts.
From this fifth year onwards, we have included the agricultural sector in these awards.
The award is being presented to Mr. Kodanda Reddy, a leader who has fought for farmers’ issues for many years.
He has worked tirelessly for farmers’ rights and the development of the agricultural sector.
We are presenting this year’s agriculture award in recognition of his deep love and connection towards farmers, crops, and agriculture.
We have previously honored Mr. Velichala Kondal Rao for his extensive literary contributions.
On this occasion, we are also honoring artists like Kanakavva for their distinguished service in the field of folk arts.

Although our parents were uneducated and came from a farming family, they instilled in us not only an education but also discipline, good values, and a sense of social responsibility.
Coming from a family dependent on agriculture, we deeply understand the hardships faced by farmers and the true value of agriculture.
We continue to organize this event every year, fueled by the love and affection of all our family members.
We conduct this program with the aim of fostering family unity and setting an exemplary standard.
Over the past four years, we have honored numerous prominent figures from various fields with these awards.
The convener of the awards jury committee is Dr. Under the leadership of Ponnam Ravichandra, a selection was made comprising former Central Information Commissioner Madabhushi Sridhar, prominent journalist Dileep Reddy, Civil Supplies Director G.V. Shyamprasad Lal, BC Study Circle Director Mamidi Harikrishna, and writer Ainampudi Srilakshmi.
