Prof. Dr. Raja Rao Tripuraneni, founder Chairman of the Vipanchi organization, said that on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Vipanchi, we are conducting Indian classical music and dance symposium, to promoting, protecting and spreading Indian classical music and dance, an international level is being held for two days from the 25th July. He explained that former Vice President of India Mr M. Venkaiah Naidu and Orissa Governor his Excellency Sri K. Haribabu will inaugurate this conference. These details were disclosed in a press conference held at Somajiguda Press Club on Wednesday. On this occasion, Dr. Rajarao Tripuraneni along with famous Kuchipudi dance guru Dr. S.P. Bharathi, a member of the Central Sangeet Natak Academy, unveiled the brochure of the conference.
Dr. Rajarao Tripuraneni, professor of Mahindra University, said that besides the two Telugu states, music and dance artists from the country and abroad are participating. He explained that the conference starts at nine in the morning with nadaswaram and ends at 10 at night with dance performances by famous artistes. Mr M. Venkaiah Naidu, Mr K. Haribabu, Culture Minister Mr Jupalli Krishnarao, AP Deputy Speaker Mr K. Raghurama Krishnamraju, senior retired IAS officer Dr. L. V. Subrahmanyam, Maharashtra Telugu Association Chairman Mr Pucha Venkataramana, Mahindra University Vice Chancellor Dr. Meduri Venkata Somayazulu, Continental Coffee MD Mr Challa Rajendraprasad, Nuziveed Seeds Director Smt Mandava Ashapriya and others will participate. Karnatic music torch bearer Dr. Nallan Chakrabortula Murthy, Renowned Hindustani classical singer Dr Kaushiki Chakraborty, Renowned Kuchipudi dancer Prof. Dr. Alekhya Punjala will be felicitated with Vipanchi lifetime achievement awards. In the Sangeet Nritya Abhinaya lecture conference, Central University in-charge Vice Chancellor Acharya Dr. Anuradha Jonnalagadda, Sitar scholar Dr. Anupama Bhagwat, Music directors Dr. Vyjarsu Balasubrahmanyam, Padmashri Awardee Deepika Reddy, Dr. Kalakrishna, Dr. Ayyagari Shyama Sundar, Violanist Dr. Ashok Gurjale, Dr. Raghava chary, Dr. Rajyalakshmi Seth, Dr. Ramaprabha Yarramilli, Dr. Shailaja Desai and other prominent people are participating.
‘Kamasutra’ dance drama on the first day of the conference
On the first day of the Vipanchi International Symposium at 6 pm, Renowned dance guru Dr. Swathi Somnath will present a Kamasutra dance Drama written by Bnim, by her “Tradition” disciple group. There will be dance performances by Kum Katragadda Himanshi, Smt Padmapriya Ashapriya, Bengaluru-based Smt Anupama Bhagwa and Smt Padmaja Viswas troupe will perform folk music. Malaysian dancer Smt Geeta Govardhanam Hazare and her troupe will perform Andhra Natyam in the concluding session. Mr Uppalapu Jaya Vigneshwar and Mr peddi Raju from Chennai, mandolin concert. Mr Satyanarayanan Krishnababu’s keyboard vinyasam, Bangalore-based Smt Archana Mishra Kathak, Smt Sonali Mohanty Odissi, Hyderabad artist Mr Hari Mangalampalli troupe will perform Bharatanatyam.
