Hyderabad, 26th July 2026 : Professor Dr. Rajarao Tripuraneni, Mahindra University and President of the Vipanchi organization, said that an international level Indian music and dance symposiun was organized with the aim of showcasing the excellence of Indian arts and cultural traditions on a single platform.
He appreciated that the two-day symposium was a great success and artists from different states gave wonderful performances and lectures. As part of the 10th anniversary celebrations of the Vipanchi, the two-day long symposium at Shilpakalavedika concluded on Sunday.
Many nationally recognized Artists and Researchers have felicitated. In the concluding session, Dr. Rajarao Tripuraneni said that arts give mental happiness, peace and expressed happiness that the goal of the international conference to attract the youth towards arts has been fulfilled. He said that the development of society is done with arts and everyone has the responsibility to protect the wealth of art.
Firstly, the famous Bharatanatyam guru Dr. Hari Mangalampalli from Hyderabad along with his five daughters Harini, Hamsika, Hansika, Swantamayi and Visakha entertained the audience.
Dance performed by dance guru Neha Singh was impressive. A violin symphony performed by 32 students of Arabhi Music School under the music direction of Kalaratna Dr. Ashok Gurjale rounded off the conference.
Chennai keyboard artist Kalaimamani Dr. K. Satyanarayanan’s keyboard performance enthralled the audience. His lecture on the greatness of musical voices was inspiring. Dr. Rajyalakshmi Seth, a senior artist from Mumbai, mentioned the typical elements of Kuchipudi and explained the elements of jati, shabda pallavi, arohana, avarohana etc. while her disciples from Aurangabad, deaf artiste Kum Lahari Peddinti and Smt Swarali Bhupesh danced.
Dr Salaja Desai Kuchipudi (Mumbai), Dr Archana Mishra’s Kathak (Kolkata), Smt Sonali Mohanty’s Odissi (Bhubaneswar) dance performances were impressive. Dance guru Smt Geetha Govardhanam Hazare from Koulalampur, Malaysia along with her group of disciples performed Andhra dance to great applause. Kalaratna Gayatri Rao, who acted as commentator for two days, was felicitated. Dr. Raja Rao Tripuraneni, Member of Central Sangeet Natak Akademi Dr. S. P. Bharti, Lion Padmavati, Dr. Shailaja Desai coordinated.
