R.B.V.R.R Women’s College proudly marked its 15th Graduation Day, brimming with excitement and promise

 

Telangana Reuters, Hyderabad, July 10, 2026: R.B.V.R.R Women’s College celebrated its 15th Graduation Day, honouring 302 students from the 2024-2025 batch with graduate degrees. Established in 1954 by Raja Bahadur Venkata Rama Reddy with a vision to provide quality and affordable education to women in Telangana, the college continues to uphold its legacy of academic excellence.

The institution stands out as the first in Telangana and the second nationwide to earn an ‘A’ grade in the NAAC’s fifth accreditation cycle. Recently, it also secured a position within the 150-300 band of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), reflecting its growing stature in higher education.

Chief Guest Smt. B. Sumathi, I.P.S., Commissioner of Police, Malkajgiri Commissionerate, Hyderabad, delivered the Graduation Day address. She inspired the students by sharing her journey from being a village student to becoming an officer in the city. Ms. Sumathi urged young women to embrace leadership qualities rooted in empathy and a genuine connection with the people of the nation. She praised RBVRR Women’s College for its long-standing contribution to women’s education and for creating a nurturing environment for the academic and personal growth of women in Telangana. The Guest of Honour, Prof. K. Shashikanth, Controller of Examinations at Osmania University, extended his best wishes for the students’ future endeavors. Dr. J Achyutha Devi, the college Principal, congratulated the graduates and praised their hard work and dedication. The convocation was honoured by key members of the management team, including Prof. K Sudarshan Reddy, Secretary Cum Correspondent, and Prof. K Muthyam Reddy, Secretary of Hyderabad Mahila Vidya Sangham (HMVS), along with faculty members.
Medals were awarded to the top performers in various fields such as Humanities, Sciences, Computers, Commerce, and Business Administration. Ms. B. Manjula, the Controller of Examinations, expressed her confidence in the graduates, believing they will make the most of their degrees in pursuing further education and successful careers. Students wore uttariyas (stoles), and alumni took a trip down memory lane at selfie booths, reconnecting with old friends. The event also offered a chance to build stronger ties with alumni and invited graduates to become part of the Alumni Committee.
The convocation committee, led by Dr. M Suchitra and Dr. K Swapna, organized a memorable ceremony with strong support from the Additional Controllers of Examinations and other staff members of the exam branch.
